Book Published!

I didn't write a single original word for this book. But, I'm pleased to say that I did get it published!

This is the Reflections BOOK. The next-to-last act in my service to the PTA--next to turning in my Reflections binder for the next chairperson--is to have put the 85 student entries from this year's competition into a book for the school library.

I shot photos of all the pieces, entered in all the names (which have been removed for privacy purposes here), typed in all the submitted literature pieces and laid out the pages (with the help of Wal-Mart's online photo book software).

It was an amazing feeling to hold a hard-cover version of what all these kids had done. I'm not sure the librarian at the school fully understood the significance, but, that's OK. She hasn't spent the past year on this project, either.

Blogger offers a service for making a book out of posts. Not sure I would want one for "CREATE" posts, but to have all my "In-Between Time" posts as a reference book might be really helpful.

I think some changes are in order for this blog. Not sure I'm quite ready to launch them yet, but....it's in the thought process.

COngratulations! There is nothing like holding your "Baby." It's all yours! You created it. And that is the feeling behind your blog I think, the joy and sense of accomplishment in creating. For me it isn't sewing, or maybe not even cooking, but writing. Ah! My baby.

Congrats on yours!

That's really cool Sue! I'll bet the kids are really excited to have their work put into a book!! I know putting that together was a LOT of work for you...and not an easy task! Congratulations!

Hooray! The book is fantastic! I've made photo books in the past and know how awesome it is to hold your creation in your hands.

You are so great to put this together for all to see. I know it will be a treasured keepsake for years to come. What a blessing you are.

Thinking of you today and sending you a hug,
Kelli

I LOVE that! I also like the idea of making my blog into a book. That would be a fun thing to have. I think I'm going to do some research on it.

The cheese ravioli was awesome! Don't know if I've ever had sun-dried tomatoes before, but I know now that I love them.

I can't put into words how much I appreciate all you did (imagine that... ME.....wordless!). Having you and CK here made such a difference. CK said she didn't feel like she did that much! I was amazed. It was SO MUCH!! Both of you!!! What a great feeling it is to have people that are there for you, when you are too stubborn to ask for help. I won't be so stubborn next time....I could get used to it.

CK took me to doc yesterday for follow up and dressing change. He said he could tell I followed orders and it is healing nicely.

Next week...Good-Bye Stitches!!

P.S. Doc gave me 90 Percocet. I took ONE. (Who is this strange woman and why is she in my body!!)

P.S.S. Guess I'm not wordless after all (whew!).
